2014!

Happy 2014 to all my loyal readers!

Here’s a quick update on my doings:

  • Still doing freelance work (a deadline is fast approaching)
  • Still working and teaching French
  • Still raising 2 boys and a dog
  • Still critiquing and beta-reading for critique partners
  • Still reading great YA and MG literature
  • Still revising a MG fantasy

How about all of you? What’s new, fresh, hot?

  1. I am facing the climax of my WIP and hoping it reveals itself to me one event at a time, because right now it consists of a lot of shaky, half-formed plans.

  2. Like you, hanging in. My list is a lot of stills too. lol.

  3. Keep up the good work! I’m also in a holding pattern, although I’m working with a mentor on one of my WIPs. So that’s new & exciting. And challenging. 🙂

  4. Your ’14 list sounds like mine! (Meaning: I’m still alive and doing the things I do–like writing, reading, family, etc. LOL)

I need to hit you up about doing a beta/crit exchange at some point if you ever have time. Not sure if the project I’m working on (it’s contemporary New Adult about a college baseball pitcher struggling with life) would be your cup of tea or not, but I’m sure we could find something. I always appreciate your insight into the things you read. 🙂

I like your short, simple list! My “new thing” coming very soon is I will be officially querying my YA science fiction starting in February. Right now I’m trying to pick what manuscript to start working on next.

Salut, Vicki! Ça va? Your days sound just like mine: reading, writing, freelancing – lather, rinse, repeat. Thanks for stopping by my ancient but slowly re-animating blog to say hello. And I just might take you up on your offer of help with French, especially when it comes to writing it – since I’m only Pimsleuring it at the moment. À bientôt!
